LAMB OF GOD, MASTODON To Guest On Tonight's 'Tinitus'
June 20, 2007LAMB OF GOD's Chris Adler and MASTODON's Troy Sanders will be the featured guests on this week's "Tinitus" radio show, airing tonight (Wednesday, June 20) between 20.00 CET (8:00 p.m.) and 22.00 CET (10:00 p.m.) on Norway's P3.
Patrizia Mazzuoccolo met up with Adler at the Download festival and extrapolated a few gems from the eloquent drummer. "We have been out with bands that have lost the ability to appreciate what they do," he stated. "There are people that work a lot harder than we do to make sure that what we come across professional and honestly, one hour on stage? That's hardly work. It's a celebration of what we do, our art and we love playing our music but to see that there are people out there that enjoy it as much as we do is just amazing."
Exhausted from a night on the razz, the most reflective of the four Atlanta cavemen of the apocalypse, MASTODON's Troy Sanders discussed the band's long haul since "Blood Mountain"'s release, the highlights of their last 13 months, their relationship with SLAYER, his expectations of the Hove festival next week and the band's consanguinity with the elements. "We tend to keep things simple. Everybody has blood, there is earth, water and fire," he commented. "These are things that everybody understands...or maybe we are just a bunch of hippies?"
"Tinitus" is Norway's most popular metal show with an average of over 60,000 listeners per week (1.5 percent of the country's population!).
